Application Developer (IVR)

Our client a fortune 500 company is looking for an IVR Applicaion Developer for a contract to hire opportunity.

IVR Application Developer:

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and maintaining IVR and integration components.  They will perform development and maintenance of complex, large-scale IVR applications; create and document system requirements (including VUIs and call flows), develop and implement test plans, develop and deploy application code for new functionality, modify and maintain current application code, adhere to standard software development life cycle processes used within the organization, evaluate and provide recommendations for alternate technologies, and provide 24x7x365 production support on a rotational basis.  They will be required to communicate with business partners, systems partners, vendors, and internal team members, and will perform related duties as assigned or requested.
 
Responsibilities:
This position requires:
•              Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
•              Ability to work independently and in a team environment
•              Self-motivation with the ability to work with minimal supervision
•              Ability to troubleshoot with minimal assistance
•              Exposure to, and experience with, systems requirements analysis and design
•              Development skills in Java, JSP, XML, and REST web services
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are preferred, but not required:
•              BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
•              Working knowledge of AIX/Unix or Linux operating systems
•              Experience with IVR application development
•              Experience with Avaya AEP platform
•              Experience with Nuance Speech Suite
•              Experience with Nuance design and development Suite (NAS, NDF, NTS)
•              Experience using IBM RAD environment
•              Experience using IBM Websphere Application Server (WAS)
•              Unix Shell Programming
•              Experience with IVR / Telephony /CTI integration
•              Working understanding of general telephony / PBX administration (Avaya Aura Communication   Manager) / SIP
•              Proficiency in VXML, Speech Recognition, and Text to Speech
•              Knowledge of relational databases
