We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager to lead our NOC team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network operations, team management, and technical expertise to ensure the seamless functioning of our network infrastructure. The NOC Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing incidents, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement within the NOC. Responsibilities:
NOC Operations Management:
Lead and manage the daily operations of the Network Operations Center.
Ensure 24/7 availability of the NOC and timely response to incidents.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions.
Team Leadership:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing NOC team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Incident Management:
Oversee the identification, analysis, and resolution of network incidents.
Implement and enhance incident response procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues promptly.
Performance Monitoring:
Implement and maintain network monitoring tools.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks.
Documentation and Reporting:
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and procedures.
Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions.
Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to network security.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with IT teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to implement network upgrades and changes.
Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders on network performance and incident status.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to align NOC activities with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.).
Proven experience (5 years) in a NOC management role.
Strong technical background in network operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., AutoMate, SolarWinds, Nagios).
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in network management and security.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, ITIL) are a plus.
