Program Manager - Enterprise Data and Reporting

Our client is seeking a Fulltime perm employee for a Program manager role.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent experience required.
  • Acquisition of advanced degree in the IT or business field preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified with ongoing certification and / or PMI Agile Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience in IT environment required.
  • Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM methodologies required.
  • Project management experience through the entire project life cycle required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and project and program management tools and methodologies required.
  MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Independently determine work assignments, and assign tasks and responsibilities related to the program or departmental work portfolio and direct resource managers or team members in the performance of these tasks.
  • Maintain the overall group project portfolio, identifying and managing interdependencies between associated projects.
  • Evaluate professional services proposals, and assist in the selection and recommendation process for services engagements.
  • Work with Decision Support to create and monitor overall program budgets or budgets within a BISD department, and be accountable for budget compliance.
  • Monitor and assist in directing the work of employees, contractors and professional services consultants assigned to a program or work portfolio.  Provide feedback and perform coaching or counseling, as needed.
  • Ensure issues are escalated to BISD Director, as appropriate.
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of Technology Investment Requests (TIR).
  • Prioritize work and be primarily accountable for managing resource capacity for program or departmental allocation.
  • Meet with Project Managers participating in a program or portfolio of work to monitor status and resolve issues.
  • Provide input to performance appraisals of indirect reports.  Provide input into training and educational needs.
  • Work with program sponsors, directors and stakeholders to establish, document and communicate objectives and scope for projects or programs.
  • Participate in:  identifying deliverables of project and/or program of projects; estimating and sizing of project/program tasks and assignments; identifying roles and responsibilities for project team composition.
  • Work with BISD project sponsors and RMO to staff projects with appropriate resources; leverage external resources, as needed.
  • Work with Finance to establish, monitor and report on SOP-98 capitalization.
  • Work with the PMO and other project and program managers to improve project management and agile processes across the firm.
HOURS/LOCATION: 
  • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (over as required)
