Strong knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes, including stencil design, solder paste application, component placement, reflow soldering, and inspection.
Proficiency in SMT equipment programming and operation, including solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, automated inspection, and depaneling machines.
Proficiency in SMT job management software.
Experience with PCB Optical Inspection systems and Flying Probe Testing Equipment
Experience working in an ESD environment, familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and quality management systems, such as ISO 13485, 9001 and IPC standards.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, efficiency, and urgency.
Responsibilities
Take a lead as the process subject matter expert for an SMT manufacturing line.
Ensure proper setup, calibration, and configuration management of SMT equipment.
Set up and qualification of PCB-A Optical and electrical inspection systems
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or modifications as needed.
Equipment Programming and Maintenance: Develop and optimize machine programming for SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, and reflow ovens.
Process Design and Optimization: Develop and optimize SMT manufacturing processes, including stencil design, solder paste application, component placement, reflow soldering, and inspection.
Conduct feasibility studies and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, yield, and throughput.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
Proven experience as an SMT Process Engineer in the electronic assembly industry.
Ability to follow clean room and ESD policies
Familiar with and practice 6S principles in order to maintain a safe, neat, and orderly
