Our Client is seeking Senior Virtualization Engineer contractor to join this dynamic team support our global virtual environment. This candidate will have the opportunity to work across various environments as a liaison between different technology partners and business stakeholders. This candidate will act as a leader on the team to support and manage large VMWare environments.

Qualifications:

•             5+ years of experience in VMware technologies
•             Technical background in IT (software development, infrastructure support, etc.).
•             Internal documentation, general API documentation, JSON Documentation, YAML files, error codes,  etc.
•             Proficient in knowledge of technical writing, business applications
•             Fluency with Agile Delivery, specifically the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE).
•             Innovation skills and vision.  Possesses and can further cultivate diversity of thought.
•             Ability to process new concepts and technologies quickly, has an appetite for learning.
•             A problem-solving mindset, someone with the skills and attributes to find the most appropriate solution that will bring about the desired change/outcome.
•             Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to present complex information with simplicity.
•             Ability to multi-task and be flexible when priorities change.
•             Strong attention to detail and ability to review/write documentation for key content
•             Ability to work independently and in a group format.
•             Must be a self-starter, give accurate time estimates and meet deadlines.
•             Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, teaming, written communication, and listening skills 
•             Able to understand the logic of code and to construct simple data queries 
•             Experience supporting large VMWare environments. VMWare 6.7 and 7.x
•             vRA, vRO and NSX knowledge is a plus.
•             Jenkins Pipeline familiarity is a plus.
•             Scripting to automate processes.
•             Familiar with standalone, blade and converged hardware environments
•             VMWare license management experience a plus.
•             Agile familiarity utilizing Jira.
•             Splunk Reporting.

Responsibilities:
•             Build, maintain, support, and troubleshoot the virtual server infrastructure for Prudential Financial.
•             Daily maintenance and support include the use of VMware products such as vSphere, PowerCLI, and vRops.
•             Manage multiple data center environments including co-location facilities
•             Some off hours support and work will be required (off hours patching, rotating on-call for escalation, etc.)
•             Staying current with existing and evaluating new technologies
•             Partnering with other technology teams to provide holistic solutions for the enterprise.
