Our client is looking for a Mainframe Engineer for either a contract to hire or a direct perm opportunity.
The selected candidate will work in an agile structure with the Global Mainframe Product Services team. Primary function would be IT Analytics and Automation of all Mainframe systems in a multi-campus environment. This includes, but not limited to Data Mining, Performance Metrics, System Health Analysis, Process Efficiencies (automation), and Self-Service for Global Mainframes.
Other responsibilities would include automating day to day processes with a self-service mindset, systems development, monitoring and reporting, alerting, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field; however, candidates with significant prior experience instead of a degree will be considered. This candidate should be highly motivated, have excellent leadership and writing and communication skills.
