Product Development Manager

As the Product Development Manager, you will be overseeing the Product Team, focusing on their growth and improving processes. The ideal candidate will lead the charge in driving value to our customers through effective market research and efficient delivery processes.
You will ideally have strong experience as a product manager with proven experience working with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for managing the product roadmap by communicating with leadership and upper management on anything impacting the scheduled roadmap work.

This role requires a self-motivated problem solver who has demonstrated success in simultaneously managing a variety of projects.
Prioritize work for Product Owners and facilitation of decision making, proposing alternate solutions and sharing in gap identification
Partner with key stakeholders to shape new product ideas and business requirements
Gather requirements from stakeholders, customers, and developers
Translate business needs into actionable documentation/specifications, including use case scenarios, workflow analysis, models and conceptual design diagrams using industry standard product management tools such as Aha, VSTS, Balsamiq, and others
Plan and execute product implementation activities with limited supervision
Collaborate with UX, business analysts and engineers with a focus on defining product functionality and designing solutions that bring differentiating value to our current and prospective clients by driving the delivery of epics, features, user stories, with an agile and iterative methodology
Participate in QA led test prep and planning activities, as well as defect triage to ensure product releases are on track
Prioritize bugs and communicate issues that may impact roadmap work. Verify bugs against requirements to properly determine if issue is a bug or a new user story is needed
Must be able to articulate:
How the appropriate level of quality for a specific product is determined
An understanding how the appropriate coding and testing standards are determined and if this requires specific input from Product Management
An understanding how customer experience testing is being done during development or QA processes
Defining an audit trail to provide confidence that testing, and issue resolution has been completed
Keep management and key stakeholders informed of product and feature status
Evaluate and present solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution
5+ years of product management experience or equivalent and strong customer empathy
4+ years of experience performing software systems product management in an Agile environment
4+ years of people leadership experience
Demonstrated success launching and scaling platform products with intuitive user experiences and maintaining them across multiple releases
Technical knowledge skills of client/server, mobile and cloud-based applications
Demonstrates an ability to think creatively and strategically
Ability to effectively communicate ideas/requirements in both technical and non-technical terms to stakeholders and leadership
Ability to work independently and on multiple competing initiatives
Strong relationship building experience and ability to work across organizational lines
