We are looking for a PM, Operations Leader to partner with the Practice Leader and Chief Architect to develop and oversee the execution of the operating model in support of the practice’s vision and business model.
- Project Management of the BPCS Engagements
- Presales – including the coordination of SOW preparation, following the current SOW process ( ~ 10% -15% of workload)
- Operational Leadership in the Practice Planning and Stand Up sessions (~ 15% - 20% of workload)
- Practice Leadership, participating in the Practice Growth sessions to review success of current Practice Offerings as well as vet potential offerings, working with Marketing, Sales and the Lead Team to bring these to market. (~ 15% - 25% of workload)
Project Management Responsibilities:
Lead multiple project teams in the delivery of Analytics solutions to our customers. PM is expected to provide leadership across the team including customer and internal stakeholders providing:
- Proactive Project Communication to customer and internal stakeholders
- Project Financial Management, including change management procedures
- Development of Project Schedule and active monitoring to ensure on time delivery
- Proactive Risk Management for customer facing and internal delivery activities
- Active Issue Resolution, incorporating project defined escalation procedures
- Working with Practice and PMO to improve and grow the project management capabilities related to the delivery of client engagements.
- Maintain connectivity with MSIs PMO on application of project management best practices across MSI practice areas
- Assist in the requirements capture and documentation processes: *
- Ability to work with Customers as well as Solutions Architects and assist in the requirements definition / documentation process
- Develop and expand upon process flow documents working in conjunction with the customer and Solution Architects.
Practice Leadership Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the other Practice Leadership team in setting and driving operational vision, strategy, and resource needs.
- Translate strategies into actionable goals for performance and growth implementing operational goal setting, performance management, quarterly and annual planning.
- Oversee operations and productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
- Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancements.
- Ensure daily and monthly execution is in support of the business strategies and plans developed in tandem with the practice leadership team.
- Directly oversee operations, the accomplishment of sales objectives in partnership with sales leaders, and vendor operations.
- Oversee and perform time tracking activities, ensure invoicing and payables are timely and accurate.
- Produce metrics pertinent to plans, execution and accomplishments (internal and external).
- Coordinate presales activities across practice and sales teams, inclusive of solutions design activities, SOWs, critical dependencies, etc.
- Facilitate meeting cadence for stand ups and planning sessions addressing accomplishments, risks and issues along with resource allocation.
- Monitor financial performance of the practice, create detailed reports both current and forecasting, and propose corrective actions as needed.
- Work with Customers as well as Solutions Architects and assist in the requirements definition / documentation process.
- Develop and expand upon process flow documents working in conjunction with the customer and Solution Architects.
- Maintain and build trusted relationships with key clients, partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, MBA or related field preferred
- Previous experience working for a services lead consulting firm, a plus (preferred)
- Five + years’ experience in team leadership, operations focused
- 7 – 10 years of project management experience
- Formal SDLC process experience
- Practical experience doing scrum and SAFe
- Desire to work in a fast paced, nimble growth environment
- Ability to travel outside tri-state area, approximately 20%
- Experience in Data & Analytics organizations a plus
- Understanding of advanced business planning and operating maturity modeling
- A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
- Ability to diagnose problems and have foresight into potential issues
- PPM and SAFe certification a plus
