Our client is currently working on identifying staff to support a Master Data Management Standard Edition (MDM SE) 11.6 upgrade.
This is shaping up as Full Time for 6 months (~960 hours), with option to extend to full time, longer term for the successful candidate with a clearance.

Upgrading MDM - Background
• Current Production Environment: Oracle 12C 01 with Initiate 10.00.189
• In development, upgrading MDM (Initiate) 10.0 to 11.6. With Oracle 19C WebSphere 8.5
• Have this configuration working in development – the client is currently standing up test environment.
• Plan for production in May 2021 or ASAP
NOTE: The client has seen significant differences in MDM 10 and 11 which started algorithm issue discussions with a December timeframe. They are experiencing difficulty with the upgrade in terms of consistency of operation, how data is handled, analyzing results and this has become a more complex upgrade than they planned.
Resource request details:
The team is preparing documentation on what the planned production architecture and "final" configuration will look like. Once they have that, they will be at a place to have a fruitful discussion with someone regarding the configuration.
Initially they want to discuss the configuration design, areas of concern and best practices for MDM SE setups. They would like to verify the configuration is tight, settings are correct with expected volume, etc. Make sure dotted I’s and cross t’s with it – they have never run MDM / WAS in production.
Assist in setting up WAS production environment with heavy transition load, with MDM as one of the applications. Customer is familiar with how to set up MDM implementation and are comfortable with tuning and algorithms. They need assistance in transaction processing, eg. do they have their environment setup and tuned properly for multi-instance operations.
Provide training for system administration on WAS and developers on MDM WAS Operations, WAS operations and tuning in O&M, how to distinguish issues between MDM and WAS, and getting the customer proficient in troubleshooting WAS to Tier 1 and Tier 2 level.
The person should have following skillset:
• WAS experience (Configuration & Tuning)
• Supported or familiar with MDM 11.x configuration on WAS
• Multi-node MDM 11.x configuration (Oracle)
• MDM 11.x on AWS (desired)
