Manufacturing Systems Engineering Manager

The Manufacturing Systems Engineering Manager will lead both a subset of this project group through the course of the development as well as engaging and collaborating outside the organization.   Resourcing will be determined through a combination of prioritization and resource need. 
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Systems Engineering Manager will direct and lead the efforts of the assigned engineering organization in the development of innovative metrology systems for the semiconductor manufacturing industry from inception through product release.
  • Methodical troubleshooting and management of manufacturing tools escalations
  • Development and constant improvement of fixtures and calibration procedures
  • Transfer of new features and procedures from development engineering to manufacturing
  • Plan, test & validate release of products, upgrades and improvements
  • Construct and adhere to schedule and plans
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure the development of successful products utilizing advanced engineering methods and technology
  • Engage in key product development processes DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM and DFS
  • Identify opportunities and present solutions to improve Manufacturing process flows
  • Participate as a key member of the management team and both assess and recommend product design and manufacturing strategies based on the company's capabilities
  • Prepare and present clear and understandable reports to members of senior management regarding status, progress, issues, mitigation plans and problem solutions
  • Talent management including recruitment, coaching, development, and training  
Required Education and Experience:
  • A BS in Engineering or related technical (or equivalent knowledge) and 10+ years directly related experience
  • Solid understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) process
  • Experience with industry standard troubleshooting methods such as 8D
  • Leadership skills that are critical to success including vision, judgment, integrity and the ability to inspire others
  • Strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability
  • Exceptional oral, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with capable leadership to manage and lead a senior team of engineers
  • Problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate, quantitative, and timely analysis
  • Semiconductor Capital equipment development/engineering background preferred
  • Experience in a leadership role
