Cisco Voice Network Design Engineer

A premier telecommunications service provider is seeking an experienced Voice Network Design Engineer / Network Architect. The successful candidates must be comfortable working in a professional, fast-paced environment and possess strong design and project delivery capabilities. We are seeking individuals with strong design and problem-solving experience while utilizing the best breed of emerging technologies

Desired experience and qualifications:
  • Cisco certified - Minimum CCNP Voice
  • Routing Protocols - BGP, OSPF,
  • IP Security, VOIP, IP Services, SIP, RTP, OSPF, NAT, QOS
  • Understanding of SIP signaling
  • Cisco voice gateways, gatekeepers, & IOS Cisco Unified Communications Manager (9.0 +)
  • Cisco CUBE (Cisco Unified Border Element)
  • Prior experience in the financial, banking or energy industries a must
  • Blue Chip/Global company experience preferred
  • Several years of experience in delivering complex solutions in enterprise scale environments
  • Oracle ACME Session Border Controllers
  • Dealer board technologies
  • Ethernet Switching
  • Visio/Excel
  • Cisco Unified call Manager
  • Provide engineering design and support for Data Center and Client edge VOIP network Environments
  • Lead, Manage, and Participate in project implementation
  • Provide effective engineering by demonstrating ownership and accountability for all assigned tasks and projects
  • Partner with Infrastructure Leads and third-party service providers in the conception, evaluation, piloting, engineering, and operational delivery of solutions for the organization
  • Define, document, and adhere to technical and operational standards
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation (IE: standards, process, Method of Procedures)
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with high quality and timely execution
  • Strive for best in class teamwork by regularly stretching and consistently measuring execution to a high standard
  • Provide input and participate in strategic planning sessions
  • Provide technical leadership to peers and junior personnel within Infrastructure Engineering
  • Provide forward thinking and be agile in adopting new technologies to meet evolving business requirements
