Cisco Product Support Specialist

Our client is seeking a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of technology related experience for the role of a Sales Product Support Specialist in our Digital Platforms division.  This business unit provides Cisco sales support for a variety of IT products and services targeted to a diverse client and prospect base in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.  Our client offerings include:

The Sales Product Support Specialist (SPSS) will strive to be highly interactive with clients in pursuit of providing an exceptional Customer Experience around product procurement, license management, end-of-support infrastructure, and contract management for support & renewals.  The SPSS will be part of an inside Product Support team responsible for managing all aspects of our clients Value Added Reseller (VAR) business with a heavy focus on Cisco’s products, services, and tools.  The SPSS will work directly with Sales, Accounting, and Operations to assure our clients best practices are followed. 

What you will Do:
  • Working firsthand with the Account Executives, assisting with various tasks such as quoting, ordering, deal registrations, documentation, and collectively working together to create a better customer experience
  • Managing licensing for Cisco SaaS/software renewals, Smartnet support contracts, Smart Accounts, and End-of-Support infrastructure
  • Interfacing and managing relationships with our client's distributors and partners for technical support, configurations, and pricing
  • Interacting with clients to support quoting and procurement requests in addition to other client needs
  • Ongoing training and knowledge pertaining to Manufacturer systems and tools (i.e. CCW-R, SAMT, MCE) to help manage Cisco support renewals/contracts and Smart Accounts.
  • Leveraging Distributor and Manufacturer partnerships
Successful Candidates Bring:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in any of the following:
    • Technology and/or Product Sales/Support
    • Customer Service
    • Technology Procurement
  • 4-year degree - BA/BS or experience that demonstrates skill sets for this position
  • Possess strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented and effective with complex problem solving
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Ability to learn new and keep up to date on knowledge of the industry, our firm, resources, tools and offerings as well as learn the competitive posture of the marketplace
  • Solid oral and written communications and documentation skills
  • Team player and the capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
