Security Systems Administrator

Our direct client is an exciting and dynamic software company based in Whippany, New Jersey.  The company has built a reputation for producing high quality, award winning applications for the Beauty & Clinic Industries since 1987.  It’s commitment to delivering excellent customer services has contributed to its ongoing success.  We are in search of a Security Systems Administrator whom will help supplement the growth & scaling of the company.
 
Responsibilities
  • General security SOC 2 & PCI-specific scanning, confirmation, audits, & assessments
  • Internal & external security penetration testing, including web application security assessments
  • Security policy generation & review
  • Firewall policy review
  • Maintain and administer our Cisco ASA firewall and AWS VPC security groups
  • Maintain, monitor, & troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure including but not limited to AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL, & Group Policy
  • Maintain, monitor, & troubleshoot VMware vCenter & Cloud (Amazon EC2, VPC, SES, & IAM) infrastructure
  • Maintain, monitor, & troubleshoot our anti-virus & anti-malware software suites
  • Maintain and monitor backup systems, including systems for business continuity
  • Perform server, workstation installations and patching and upgrades as needed
  • Completes a daily analysis and monitoring of client/server systems for any potential performance and/or stability issues; provides Tier 1/2 support for any open issues; escalates if required
  • Monitor Network Activity for all locations including server deployments and to analysis and troubleshoot network connectivity bottlenecks
  • Provides on-demand support for domain/email account management such as account creation, security access, and/or authentication issues
  • Provides on-demand setup and installation of Server equipment with second tier Laptop/Desktop support
  • Provides on-going testing and research to further increase systems/application performance/stability and offer more robust functionality to increase workflow
  • Maintains detailed documentation of all job functions for use as reference material
  • Documentation creation and support for company objectives and security
  • Familiar with SOP creation and Disaster Recovery
  • Analyze and recommend company processes and procedures in search of ways to integrate technology to ensure compliance with both internal procedures and external regulatory requirements
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field OR current Certification Status with Microsoft
  • 2-5 years experience in Windows Server, Vmware Administration, & Amazon Web Services EC2/VPC
  • MUST have experience in administering Vmware & AWS Virtualized Servers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Windows Server 2003 – 2012, Windows 7 – 8.1, WSUS, Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, Power shell, Group Policy, Office, and Visio
  • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional or equivalent
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal operating hours when requested
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Verbal & Written Communications Skills
  • Experience with network protocols , switching and storage configurations
  • Experience with network firewalls and internet filtering
  • Experience of Cloud/Cloud storage concepts, hosted Exchange, and hosted servers.  
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 lbs.
