POSITION: Desktop Support Specialist

Our client has been providing Technology Solutions to our clients in the New York / New Jersey Metropolitan area for over 30 years. They are seeking a  Systems Engineer for fulltime permanent employment. This position will be part of a team responsible for driving successful deployments for our customers throughout the New York / New Jersey Metropolitan area. You will work directly with our sales team and customers, advising them on the appropriate design and configuration of their desktop systems and data centers to run an optimized infrastructure. Your work is crucial to helping us meet all types of infrastructure challenges and if you want to help build systems that solve many types of challenges, then this position is for you. Support Specialist will perform the following:

Monitor ticket queues for new tickets & prioritize these tickets to meet our SLA (Service Level Agreement)
Tickets will come from our 2 coordinators, our Remote Monitoring System (RMM) & remote helpdesk.
Be able to answer the incoming phone calls as needed
Must have clear and complete communication with client and the MIS team
Be the first level and escalated second level of helpdesk support for our customers
Address issues within our SLA (Service Level Agreement)
Escalate to our engineers when needed
Address the issues successfully and completely, no band-aiding
Document any and all issues & solutions thoroughly in the ticket
Update any and all client information in our SharePoint portal
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Good understanding of non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, maintainability and security.
