Job Title: IT Quality Assurance Lead/Analyst ,Location: Wilton, Conn. Position Summary: IT Quality Assurance Lead/Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing manual and automated test cases and test plan to ensure software quality. The ideal candidate will be a person who thrives on learning all aspects of the industry and can proactively develop a thorough knowledge of the business, working independently and within a larger team. We are seeking a self-starter with a passion for releasing bug free quality software that runs smoothly and meets business needs for multiple brand multi language global B2B and B2C websites. Reports To Senior Manager, Digital Systems Date Prepared October 2018 Others Served Exempt Status Exempt Physical Demands • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time. • Must be able to travel for business throughout Canada, US and Internationally. Financial Responsibilities/Scope (if applicable) • None Duties and Responsibilities • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents and analyze to provide timely and meaningful feedback • Consult with technical team to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test cases and test strategies. • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs • Help troubleshoot issues • Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements • Monitor debugging process results • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies Essential Qualifications • Proven work experience in software quality assurance • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process • Experience with performance and/or security testing • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Familiarity with web design and/or web-based applications • Experience with mobile devices, applications, and/or technologies • Experience with defect tracking and reporting processes • Experience with integrations of multiple applications • Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) Beneficial Qualifications • Understanding Web technologies, UX/UI • Prior experience with automated scripting highly desirable. • Prior experience with SQL Query highly desirable.
