Systems Engineer - Level II Support Technician

We are looking to add a strong technician to provide support to our growing customer base.  You can expect to do everything from basic helpdesk support, Remote and On-site support, variety of projects, system audits, system upgrades, complete company system forklift upgrades and on-going MSP support. Occasionally work nights and weekends on projects and upgrades. They are expected to be here at the Parsippany location Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00. Will be placed on a one week 24x7 on-call rotation every 5-7 weeks.
  • Full understanding and installation of the following
  • Windows 7, 8 & 10, includes troubleshooting, imaging & best practices
  • Apple - good working knowledge of the OS and connecting to a Microsoft network
  • Anti-Virus, Malware protection – installation, remediation and best practices
  • Basic understanding of Firewall, switching, access points & VPN.
  • Office 2007 – 2016 – installation, configuration, day-to-day use, and troubleshooting
  • Server 2008-2016 - installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Hyper-V - installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • VMWare - installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Citrix VDI – would be a plus!!!
  • Microsoft RDP or terminal Services
  • Exchange 2007-2016- installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO) -
  • DHCP and DNS
  • Office 365 knowledge – Tenant and creating users, adding licenses, Skype, OneDrive & SharePoint
  • Mobile devices – Android & Apple - configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Azure services – we are focusing on this heavily!
  • Amazon Web Services – would be good to know!
  • Printer servers network printers
  • File Servers with Shares, Directory and File security/permissions
  • Backups – Arcserve, Evault, Veeam, Datto, ect. - installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, maintainability and security.
Effective interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.   You must be able to multitask, pay attention to detail and execute effective follow through.
