Systems Engineer

Our client has been providing Technology Solutions to  clients in the New York Metropolitan area for over 20 years. We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for fulltime employment. This position will be part of a team responsible for driving successful deployments for our customers throughout the New York Metropolitan area. You will work directly with our sales team and customers, advising them on the appropriate design and configuration of their desktop systems and data centers to run an optimized infrastructure. Your work is crucial to helping us meet all types of infrastructure challenges and if you want to help build systems that solve many types of challenges, then this position is for you. Our ideal candidate is an ambitious individual with 5-8 years (or more) of advanced systems engineering, preferably client-facing experience. Candidate is self-confident, well spoken, hard working and highly organized, and has solid skills and experience in building relationships with customers and partners. Candidate is driven to take ownership of a project and has sufficient interpersonal and technical skills to be able to take the project from pre-sales through all phases of delivery. Willingness to learn new technologies is a must.
 
Technical Skills | Requirements:
  • 5-8 years (or more) experience providing clients with enterprise network solutions and support 
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco Network platform design, installation, configuration, and support
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco protocols, routers, switches and firewalls
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft server applications and desktop operating systems
  • (Server OS: NT 4.0, Win 2000, 2003 2008, Client OS: Win 98, 2000,XP Professional, Vista and 7)
  • Expert knowledge of internet protocols including DNS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP
  • Expert TCP/IP Troubleshooting Knowledge
  • HyperV, Citrix and Sonic Wall a must
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of SMB to enterprise solutions

  • Preferred certifications include, CCNA, CCDP, MCITP
  • Advanced certifications are a plus
