Our client, an IT Solutions company is hiring for the following role:

Systems Engineer  Level II/III Level III Plus

Responsibilities
  • Help create, design and install our customers infrastructure needs.
  • Work independently or with the team depending on what the job entails
  • Prioritize tickets to meet our SLA (Service Level Agreement)
  • Must have clear and complete communication with client and the MIS team (verbal & written)
  • Be level three helpdesk support for our internal helpdesk and our customers, on-site and remote
  • Address issues within our SLA (Service Level Agreement)
  • Address the issues successfully and completely, no band-aiding
  • Document any and all issues & solutions thoroughly in the ticket
  • Update any and all client information in our SharePoint portal
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
 Requirements and Skills
  • Full understanding and installation of the following
  • Windows 7, 8 & 10, includes troubleshooting, imaging & best practices
  • Apple  - good working knowledge of the OS and connecting to a Microsoft network
  • Anti-Virus, Malware protection – installation, remediation and best practices
  • Basic understanding of Firewall, switching, access points & VPN.
  • Office 2007 – 2016 – installation, configuration, day-to-day use, and troubleshooting
  • Server 2008-2016  - installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Hyper-V - installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • VMWare - installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Citrix VDI – would be a plus!!!
  • Microsoft RDP or terminal Services
  • Exchange 2007-2016- installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO) -
  • DHCP and DNS
  • Office 365 knowledge  – Tenant and creating users, adding licenses, Skype, OneDrive & SharePoint
  • Mobile devices – Android & Apple - configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Azure services – we are focusing on this heavily!
  • Amazon Web Services – would be good to know!
  • Printer servers network printers
  • File Servers with Shares, Directory and File security/permissions
  • Backups – Arcserve, Evault, Veeam, Datto, ect. - installation, configuration, day-to-day use, best practices and troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of non-functional requirements like performance, scalability, maintainability and security.
Effective interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.   You must be able to multitask, pay attention to detail and execute effective follow through.
